Cable robots

Fraunhofer IPA has worked Statec in a ROBOTT-NET voucher. This project has expanded on the Statec's existing systems by using the latest industrial control technology. Algorithms developed by the Fraunhofer IPA have expanded the existing technology and control.

In the “Winch Bot Paint System” voucher Tecnalia worked with CENVISA to create a cable robot application to automate or semi-automate the painting process of medium and large size parts, controlling the 6 degree of freedom of a painting tool that is assembled in the platform of a parallel cable robot.
